CarTrip Calculator does not ask you to sign up, and does not collect personal information.

What stays on your device

Saved trips, your chosen car, and the fuel prices you enter are stored only in your browser or app on this device. Nothing is uploaded to us. Clearing the app data or uninstalling removes all of it.

What leaves your device

When you search for a place or ask for a route, the place names and map points are sent to Google Maps Platform so a route, distance and toll can be returned. This is needed for the app to work at all. We do not store those requests.

If you use the current location button, your device location is used to work out your starting point. It is sent to Google to build the route and is not saved by us.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which features are used, so we know what to improve. It records general usage such as pages viewed and whether a route search succeeded. It is not linked to your identity. Google's own policy governs that data: policies.google.com/privacy.

No ads, no selling data

There is no advertising in this app, and we do not sell or share your information with anyone.

Children

The app is suitable for all ages and collects nothing from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top will change with it.
